Landing gear test assembly.
Now when I have cast all the major parts in the landing gear it’s time for a little test assembly.
On the real LM The secondary struts connect to the primary strut via a ball-joit. I’m faking it by drilling a hole trough the primary strut and letting a metal rod connect the two secondary struts. The result looks pretty much the same. And the flexibility of the thin rod makes the secondary struts behave as if they where connected with balljoints. (on the picture below you can actually see that one of the secondary struts have yet to be connected to the rod going trough the primary strut)
The secondary struts are then temporarily connected to the deployment truss.
Finally I attached the primary strut to the fourlegged landing gear truss assembly.
Looks allright to me!
Onward!
